Proxmox High I/O Issues

In recent weeks I had been getting stupid I/O spikes all day long on one of my Supermicro servers. This server runs all SSD, has plenty of beans, and it had me perplexed. I was monitoring the io using iotop and discovered the issue was from the ledmon package. I'm running debian 12 and my thinking is the package has issues with the SAS controller.

I removed this package and io went to zero.

apt remove ledmon

I tired all kinds of tricks and bought new SSDs just in case it was those failing. In the end it was a simple package needing removing...
